Welcome to the largest and best Georgia Bulldog club in the world since 1946! My name is Tyson Lassen and I am THRILLED to be the 2024 President of the Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville!
My fandom of the Georgia Bulldogs began at a very young age and has only grown over time, especially when I was fortunate enough to attend the University of Georgia and serve as the beloved mascot, Hairy Dawg, from 2017-2020. The University of Georgia holds a special place in my heart and means the world to me. After graduating in 2020, I became active with the Bulldog Club and it’s been such a fantastic experience. Being able to watch games as well as attend weekly meetings and events with other’s who share a common passion for the Dawgs is certainty the highlight of my week. I love seeing new and familiar faces each and every week as we cheer for the Dawgs together.
Our goal at the Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville is to root on our Dawgs as one, as well as to raise money for the Vince Dooley Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 1988 in honor of Vince Dooley’s 25th year as Head Coach. The purpose of the scholarship is to help provide additional funds to send local graduating seniors to UGA by offsetting the high cost of out-of-state tuition. This is something that means a lot to me having been an out-of-state student.
This year I have an extremely talented group of club officers who I know will excel in their roles helping us continue our 78-year history of being the best Bulldog club in the country. They are the ones who make what we do possible and I’m looking forward to what we will accomplish as a group this year.
Finally, I encourage everyone to follow our club Facebook and Instagram pages to receive updates on time and locations for our weekly meetings and watch parties, as well as to get a sneak peek on future guest speakers, additional events, and fundraising opportunities.
